Richie Farina

Richard "Richie" Farina began his career as a pizza maker before enrolling at Johnson and Wales University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts and helped the school win the National College Ice Carving Championship three years in a row. After working in several top restaurants in Boston, Chef Farina sought out a new home and a bigger challenge at Moto in April 2008. In just two short years, he worked every possible station, including all front of the house positions.

In 2009, Chef Farina was featured on a nationally syndicated television entitled Future Food, which highlighted the whimsical creations and personalities of Moto Restaurant. He was also a featured contestant on the 9th season of the hit Bravo television program Top Chef. On Future Food and Top Chef, Chef Farina gained national recognition as one of the most creative talents in the restaurant world. Chef Farina's work has reached hundreds of national television and print outlets including The Travel Channel's No Reservations, The Today Show, CNN's Next List, The New York Times and many others. In January 2014, Chef Farina's hard work and great skill was rewarded with the position of Executive Chef. He describes his experience at Moto as, “By far the craziest and most fun place I have ever worked. I am happy to call this place my home.

Maude Kasperzak

Maude Kasperzak

Maude Kasperzak (b. 1988 Toledo, OH) has been living and working in Baltimore, MD as a cake decorator and designer for Charm City Cakes and as a visual artist ever since receiving her BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Maude started out as a decorating intern at CCC in the Spring of 2012 and recently acquired the title of Lead Decorator. Utilizing fondant, gumpaste, and food dyes as her main mediums, Maude is able to bring her artistic abilities in painting, drawing, sculpture and design to each cake she works on.

When she's not creating edible works of art at the bakery, Maude can be found working on her paintings, videos or on textile design for her and her collaborator (Oakland, CA fibers artist Natalie Ebaugh) accessory line called Girl Group.
